School Educational Philosophy
Young minds at Edify World School, Dehra Dun are constantly encouraged to pursue the mindful habits of scholars. Therefore the curriculum offered is broad, rich and challenging. Students are exposed to diversity of liberal arts, and a plethora of opportunities to excel in their individual talents. Teachers provide challenging classroom experiences designed to inspire curiosity and breadth of interest, self-expression, joy, and aesthetic sensibility. Each class has only a limited number of students to facilitate active participate in discussions, working together creatively to solve problems, to communicate their ideas effectively, and to learn from each other. This also helps the teachers to pay individual attention to every child.
Care and support is extended to all students thus facilitating their overall growth. Bond between teacher and student is of mutual respect, cooperation and togetherness in learning. Individual needs and learning styles of students are identified and catered for, to make the learning more meaningful and comprehensive. We believe that students learn best when they can have trust in their teachers, share kindness and understanding and feel safe and comfortable within their school campus.
School believes strongly that ‘no child should be left behind’ and is committed to support even the children with special needs provided that these lie within mild to moderate regions. Care is taken to sensitize all towards such differently abled children and to main stream them in phases.
A child friendly, caring, supportive and learning environment forms the basis for the educational growth of all our students.
