Edify World School, Dehradun, proudly hosted a two-day CBSE Capacity Building Programme focused on the vital theme of School Health and Wellness.
The enriching workshop, held on 4th & 5th July 2025, brought together educators from various institutions to engage in a comprehensive and interactive learning experience aimed at fostering holistic well-being in school communities.
The programme was graced by two distinguished resource persons Dr. Dinesh Barthwal, Principal of Doon International School, Dehradun, and Mr. Raman Kaushal, Principal of Tula’s International School, Dehradun.
Both experts brought with them a wealth of experience and insight, guiding participants through an in-depth exploration of health and wellness education in the school context.
Over the course of two days, the programme delved into more than 11 meticulously designed modules, each addressing a critical aspect of physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being.
Topics ranged from nutrition, personal hygiene, and physical activity to mental health awareness, gender sensitivity, and responsible behavior.
The sessions were structured to be highly interactive, incorporating group discussions, role plays, case studies, and hands-on activities that encouraged active participation and peer learning.
The resource persons emphasized the importance of integrating health and wellness into the school curriculum, not as an add-on but as a core component of education. They highlighted the role of teachers as wellness ambassadors who can model and promote healthy practices among students.
The sessions also focused on equipping educators with practical strategies to create safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments.
Participants appreciated the dynamic and engaging format of the programme, which allowed for meaningful dialogue, reflection, and collaboration.
The atmosphere was one of shared purpose and professional growth, with educators exchanging ideas and best practices to enhance student well-being in their respective schools.
The session left participants inspired and empowered to implement the learnings in their classrooms and school policies.
The initiative reaffirmed Edify World School’s commitment to nurturing not just academic excellence, but also the overall well-being of its students and staff.
Such capacity-building initiatives are a testament to the evolving role of educators in shaping healthier, happier, and more resilient future generations.
The programme concluded with a feedback session and educators, facilitators, and school leaders gathered with smiles and a sense of accomplishment, marking the successful completion of an enriching journey.
